This was a real highlight to visit the "Money Factory". For obvious reasons no pictures can be taken inside so close your eyes and imagine millions of the new $100 bills being printed, handled, cut, and stacked right in front of you. Stacks and stacks of $100 bill sheets on crates 5 ft. high. AMAZING! On the tour they told us that they print $900,000,000.000 per day. One of the signs on the wall where some of the employees work says, "Imagine how I feel printing my entire earnings in just a few seconds.." Only paper money is printed at this facility. The paper comes from the Crane paper company. The new $100 bill featuring a 3-D security ribbon and bell in the inkwell comes out in February. Too bad they didn't give us a free sample.
The kids had fun measuring how tall they were in $100 notes. I always new Barrett was worth it.
