It turned out that the Shane Norman(s) and Carrie Banfield(s) and mom had the same spring break this year, so we decided to have a fun getaway at the Zermatt in Midway, Utah. It also happened to be conference weekend which was a fun experience for us all. It was a beautiful day on Temple Square with family!
Oh yeah, they are sooo cute. Shane is 15 days shy of 40 and Jaycee looks fabulous after six kiddos.
aaahh, look at us growing old together.....

General Priesthood Session in the Conference Center.

Handsome and righteous. Kaden (14), Quinn (13), Brennen (13), Barrett (11).There is a very funny story to go along with this and it has something to do with white shirts, walmart and the parking lot.

Sunday morning General Conference session
Baby Sara (7) & Baby Kellen (4 months)
Spaghetti (I had to google how to spell that correctly) & Meatballs. I don't know whose these kids are they just kept showing up in the kitchen hungry all day long soooo i took them in and fed them and cared for them, a bunch of strays I suppose.
And they are back again for more food, seriously somebody tame these wild animals!
And here we are at the Zermatt in Midway, Utah so close but so far away from Zermatt, Switzerland.

Conquering the slopes at Deer Valley!

Adorable
This was only for the little kids. Sara, Preslee & Payson are ripping it up snowmobile style.
Tubing at Gorgoza Park in Park City.
It was FAST, it was FURIOUS, it was FUN!!! We even got mom to go down a few runs. Poor Kate was not able to do much with her injured knee, but she was a big help with baby Kellen.
Just a bunch of kids with mom/ grandma. Everybody say CHEESE and laugh at Peter running to get in the picture. We had such a fun time visiting with Shane & Jaycee and crew. We also loved that mom/grandma came to stay with us too. We also had a pop in visitor (Kay) who was in SLC with some friends for the weekend. I screamed when I saw her, it was a great surprise. The kids had to say goodbye to their Las Vegas cousins after our tour of the BYU campus in Provo (sorry no pictures). We all kind of moped around the rest of the day missing everyone.

Peter took the boys fly fishing for the day on the Provo river below Deer Creek lake. Peter caught a big 0 and the boys pulled in 4 big ones. Here is Quinn with a white fish.

Barrett won the catch of week from the Four Seasons Fly shop in Heber City. A big ol' rainbow trout!!! This fish also had two other hooks in it that broke off and got away from other fisherman.
Peter and the kids getting down and dirty. This was Kate's first driving lesson! Yikes!! Don't worry she drives like a grandma, hahaaaa, haaaa, hhaaaa. oops I should not laugh so hard she will be getting her drivers permit very soon and things may change once she gets behind the wheel of the camaro.
The carousel at the Zermatt opened on Easter weekend and Sara was really happy to take a ride on the Deer, go figure.
waiting and waiting for the easter egg hunt. There was a golden egg in the tree next to her that she was guarding. I even told some little boys to go away because she saw it first, this was 30 minutes before the egg hunt started. Hey, it had free gold tokens to ride the carousel. We just had to have it!
A little pooped after gathering up 42 eggs. Sara came back a little breathless with dirty tights. Nobody messes with the SARA "egg hunter extraordinaire".
Happy Easter Day
