Upstate New York Summer Vacation

Last week we pack up the SUV with the car carrier on top, the bikes on the back, Eva and the six of us and headed to Greenwich, NY to visit Peter's mom and brother, Tim. The kids did great on the ride up, Eva threw up only once and never peed the whole day of driving even though we stoped alot for her to try. She can hold it alot longer than the rest of us, because after trying to be patient and running her up and down the side of the freeway, it was us who ended up finding a bush to pee in not her. Once we made it, we had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying the country.

I loved riding Tim's tandem bike with Sara, it was so much fun!!!! The other kids followed along with their bikes.

At night it got chilly, so we warmed up by the fire every night after dinner. The kids enjoyed smores and lighting firecrakers. One night we had a marshmellow fight with giant pink and white marshellows that tasted terrible, but the boys had lots of fun getting them wet and throwing them to stick on Peter and Tim.

Tim works for the Betterbee Company in Greenwich and has started one of his own hives at home. Peter had to get a closer look! Oh, HONEY, you look cute!

Outdoor summer Picnic with the family!

We all had our fair share of lounging on the oh so favorite hammack and soaking in the rays...

Eva had so much fun playing with Grandma Suzie's dogs. Sammy is the little puppy in the back and Lily is the blonde in front. We let Eva run around without a leash for the first time and she was so good not to run away. The kids loved playing with the dogs everyday, especially Sara and Kate.

Peter and the boys had a ton of fun fishing, and catching frogs, lizards and tadpoles everyday. A few of the kids did get shocked by the electric fence which SHOCKED their little socks off for a few minutes. Sara even walked upto it with her belly leading the way and shocked her little tummy. Eva was shocked to when she tried to follow the boys into the creek. It was sad to hear her squeal, it sounded alot like Quinn when he went leg over leg on the fence and got shocked right in the middle, if you know what I mean. OUCH!!!!

Unfortunatley, grandma and I came down with a summer flu that kept us down for a few days, so the girls snuggled up on the couch to watch "So you think you can Dance" while the boys played in the fire with firecrakers.

We really loved going into town and eating the homemade Maple Walnut ice cream at the local "Ice Cream Man" store. I believe it was the best ever, but my taste buds and nose didn't work very well due to my sick head.

On Thursday we went to Six Flags and really had a blast swimming and going on some really cool rides. The kids liked the Bobsled ride the best. Peter and I went on the Godzilla Drop both up and down, where I screamed so loud that he didn't want to sit by me anymore on the next ride. It did make my voice go hoarse for the rest of the week. Ethan came with us and the kids had fun playing some games and winning tiger animal prizes. We also bought the all you can eat popcorn and cotton candy bucket which was fun and helped us keep going and going and going, and going then crash! Friday, we drove to Palmyra, NY to see the Hill Comorah Pagent. There were tons of people there, but it was really worth it. The pagent was amazing with really cool effects. We got lots of pictures with Lehi, Mary, Mormon, Alma, and we searched everywhere for Abinadi and finally found him right before the play started. We just coudn't leave with out getting a picture of

It was a long drive on Saturday morning, the kids slept alot (Sara is faking it in this picture, hence the cute smile)
