Teaching Kate HOW TO DRIVE....I am not happy about this, in the state of Virginia six months before your 16th birthday you can walk into the DMV, take a test on the computer and get your driving permit without ever even being behind the wheel. It is the parents responsibility to teach your children how to drive, I have to spend 60 hours on the road with her. After she got her permit they gave me a booklet with lessons that outline what I need to teach her.... I am scared to death.... she hasn't even taken drivers education in school yet (she will take it this school year). This is really crazy to me, why do I have to teach my kids how to drive with my vehicles and putting my life at risk. Something is wrong with the system. I will keep you posted...
Happy 4th of July! We had a fun time blowing off fireworks at the Herren Farm with Greers and friends.
Girls Camp, Kate & Clara
Mount Vernon Stake Girls Camp
It was fun to go to camp again this year with Kate. We zip lined, climbed and repelled, jumped off the eagles nest, did the flying squirrel, went canoeing, shot guns & arrows, slept in tents and ate camping food for 5 days and SURVIVED!
