In the News
A lot of excitement for the upcoming Presidential inaguration of Barack Obama. I heard on the news today that big celebs are coming to town and that D.C is has become the new Hollywood this month. We are planning on going to the inaguration and parade. They are expecting up to 3 million people to gather on the National Mall on Feb. 20th. Last week, a friend of a friend gave us a personal tour of the White House. It was really grand and beautiful, red room, green room, blue...etc. Peter and I took a tour of the White House back in 1994 when all you had to do was wait in a very long line, but now you have to get tickets from your congressman one to six months in advance with a background check! We also took a tour of the Capital Building which was fantastic and magnificient. The historical paintings, statues and arctechture in the rotundra were awe inspiring. We took several pictures of K8 next to Alexander Hamiltion for her National History Project for school. We also found a statue of Brigham Young in the capital blg. that was a gift from the state of Utah.
